Who We Are
Dog Owner Pro and Cat Owner Pro (together, “Owner Pro”) are operated by Dog Breeder Pro B.V. (“we,” “our,” or “us”), registered in the Netherlands. Each is a website (dogownerpro.com, catownerpro.com) and a free mobile app for finding breeders, viewing their animals, applying for a puppy or kitten, and following your application.
Breeders on Owner Pro use our breeder software, Dog Breeder Pro and Cat Breeder Pro, which has its own privacy policy at https://www.dogbreederpro.com/en/privacy/ and https://www.catbreederpro.com/en/privacy/.
Privacy at a Glance
What we collect: Account details, what you put in enquiry and application forms, your application status, and device, usage and crash data
Why: To run the service, deliver your applications to breeders, show you where they stand, and fix problems
Who we share with: The breeder you contact, and the providers who host, analyse and deliver notifications for us. Never advertisers or data brokers
We don’t: Sell your data, track you across other apps, or collect advertising IDs
Age Requirement
Anyone can browse Owner Pro. You must be 18 or older to create an account or contact a breeder. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Information We Collect
Account Information: Name, email address and password, or the name and email Apple or Google share with us when you sign in that way (Apple users may use a private relay address). Phone number and location if you add them to your profile. We are the data controller for your account.
Enquiries and Applications: Whatever the breeder’s form asks for. Typically your name, contact details and location, and often details about your home, family, other pets and experience with the breed. The breeder you contact receives this and decides how it is used. We deliver it and store a copy in the breeder’s account. The breeder is the data controller for it; we process it on their behalf. We do not use it for our own purposes or share it with anyone else.
Applications and Status: When you apply through a listing in Owner Pro, the breeder sets the status of your application in their software (received, under review, approved, waiting list, declined, and so on) and we show it to you. The status comes from the breeder, not from us. A breeder you have applied to can see what you submitted, your name and contact details, and the status they set. Breeders cannot see your other applications or which other breeders you have contacted. Forms sent through a breeder’s own website are not linked to an account and show no status.
Collected Automatically: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, app version, a random identifier for your installation, pages and screens viewed, searches, features used, performance data, and crash reports. We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID).
Notifications: If you allow them, a device token so we can notify you, for example when a breeder updates your application. Notifications are the only permission the app asks for. Turn them off in your device settings.
Analytics and Cookies: We use PostHog to understand how the service is used, with the automatically collected data above. We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and measure usage, and ask for consent before setting non-essential ones. We do not use any of this for cross-app tracking or advertising.
How We Use Your Information
- Run your account and link your applications to it
- Deliver enquiries and applications to the breeder you chose
- Show your application status and notify you when it changes
- Keep the site and app working, fix crashes, improve features
- Prevent abuse and keep the service secure
- Meet legal obligations
Legal basis (EEA, UK, Switzerland): contract performance for your account and applications; legitimate interests for analytics, crash reporting and security; consent for notifications and non-essential cookies; legal obligations where the law requires.
Sharing of Information
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- The breeder you contact: your enquiry or application, and your name and contact details
- Service providers: hosting, analytics (PostHog) and push notifications (Apple Push Notification Service, Firebase Cloud Messaging). They act on our instructions and cannot use your data for themselves
- Legal requirements: where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice before your data comes under a different policy
We do not share data with brokers or advertising networks, or link it with other companies’ data for advertising or tracking.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the Netherlands, the United States and other countries where our providers operate. For transfers out of the EEA, UK and Switzerland we use Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Request a copy at support@dogownerpro.com.
Data Retention
- Account and application status: While your account exists, then deleted or anonymised within 90 days of deletion, except where the law requires longer
- Enquiries and applications: In the breeder’s account for as long as the breeder keeps them, even after you delete your account. Their retention is governed by the breeder and by the breeder software’s privacy policy
- Device tokens: While notifications are enabled
- Analytics and crash data: As long as needed, then deleted or anonymised
- Security logs: Up to 24 months
How We Protect Your Data
Data is encrypted in transit and stored on secure servers with restricted access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee it. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires, typically within 72 hours.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your data, and receive a portable copy. Email support@dogownerpro.com with your name, the email you used and what you need. We respond within 30 days.
Delete your account from the app or site settings, or by email. Applications you have sent stay with the breeders who received them; ask the breeder to correct or delete those, or contact us if you cannot reach them.
Notifications: off in device settings. Analytics: opt out by email.
Complaints: If you are in the EEA, UK, Switzerland or South Africa, you may complain to your local data protection authority. Ours is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/.

We do not collect: advertising identifiers, precise location, address book contacts, photos, health or financial data. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites and never trigger the iOS tracking prompt.
Changes to This Policy
Updates are posted on dogownerpro.com, catownerpro.com and in the apps with a new effective date. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means.
